Monitoring 32. Kasseler DokFest

Opening: 11. November 2015, 19:00, Südflügel (Kulturbahnhof)
Exhibition: 12. - 15. November 2015

Monitoring provides a space for film and video-based installations and other time-based media works of recent years that require presentation formats beyond the classic cinema screen.

The world, in which we are living, presents itself in a complex manner and every day, even every moment, we are busy sorting the many impressions, which we take in. We collect and sort and try to understand. For a long time, modes of accumulation of information on certain topics and its classification into systems, have been part of artistic practise. Material collages, archives of collections of motifs are types of ar- tistic realisation. This year, the exhibition Monitoring presents several works, which process thematically oriented collected materials.
