Vom 20. April bis 09. Juni 2024 wird im Kasseler Kunstverein der zweite Teil der Ausstellungsreihe Caring in Times of Continuous Crisis gezeigt. Die Ausstellungsreihe widmet sich der Bedeutung von Fürsorge in persönlichen und gesellschaftlichen Krisen.
Während sich der erste Teil der Reihe auf Fürsorge und Gesundheit fokussierte, werden im zweiten Teil Zusammenhänge von Fürsorge und Ökologie behandelt.
Die eingeladenen Künstler*innen, Aktivist*innen und Forscher*innen beschäftigen sich mit der Verbindung zwischen kolonialen Strukturen und der Klimakrise. Sie untersuchen, wie die Ausbeutung von Arbeitskräften und Rohstoffen, die Produktion von Nahrungsmitteln und die Ansammlung von Kapital miteinander verbunden sind. Sie teilen Wissen über Wirtschaftsformen, die auf Solidarität und Regeneration basieren. Dabei betrachten sie Ökosysteme nicht als Ressource, sondern als lebendige Organismen, die Fürsorge geben und benötigen.
Während der Ausstellung findet ein breites Angebot an öffentlichen Veranstaltungen statt, zu denen Sie herzlich eingeladen sind.

From April 20th to June 9th, 2024, Part II of the exhibition series Caring in Times of Continuous Crisis will be presented at Kasseler Kunstverein. The exhibition series is dedicated to the importance of care in personal and societal crises.
While the first part of the series was focused on care and health, the second part explores the connections between care and ecology.
The invited artists, activists, and researchers address the connection between colonial structures and the climate crisis. They investigate how the exploitation of labor and raw materials, the production of food, and the accumulation of wealth are interconnected. They share knowledge about economic systems based on solidarity and regeneration. In doing so, they view ecosystems not as resources but as living organisms that require and provide care.
During the exhibition, there will be a wide range of public events to which you are cordially invited.
